In the Pipeline: tbf secures supplier status

tbf Traffic will be the sole traffic management supplier for a major new water mains project running from Holbrook to Shotley in Suffolk.

Following over 12 months of negotiations and planning with Anglian Water’s @One Alliance and its partners Balfour Beatty, the project – which will replace all clean water pipelines along this approximately six-mile stretch – has been given the official go-ahead.

tbf will be providing road closures and two-way, three-way, and four-way traffic lights, as well as using Variable Message Signs to keep the public informed. The project will start shortly and will continue for 11 months.

tbf Traffic has worked with Anglian Water for over 14 years. In this time, the firm has supplied traffic management for emergency works, meter replacement, new meters, and planned maintenance.

Darren Clark, tbf Operations Director, said: “This is a really important scheme for the county. The current water pipes in place are over 100 years old and this project will future-proof a clean water supply to the surrounding villages. We are very proud to be one of the teams providing this new infrastructure for South Suffolk.”

Traffic management

AW and its partners and suppliers, including tbf Traffic, are working hard to minimise traffic disruption with location-tailored traffic management. You can keep an eye on any any roadworks in your area using the one.network website.
