On 13th August 2018 Alec Smith, Project Manager and Anne-Marie Kewley, Office Coordinator at tbf Traffic attended a Sightline and Street Works Pedestrian Barrier demonstration hosted by Ringway Jacobs, Bedfordshire.
This industry event offered a chance to see the innovatively designed Sightline in action. A full presentation about the mobile app and its background system was given alongside a visual demonstration. Developed in 2017, Sightline enables those with impaired vision to safely negotiate footpath closures by sending information via an application to their mobile device.
Alec Smith, Project Manager at tbf Traffic, said: “At tbf Traffic we are committed to keeping ahead of developments and industry standards and this event offered us the chance to gain an even better understanding into how the Sightline service will work.”
Approximately 35 delegates, including PF Cusack, who ingeniously created this unique system, attended the event, which has held at Thorn Turn Depot in Houghton Regis.
At tbf Traffic we are proud to have been chosen as one of the first approved installers of Sightline as part of our Pedestrian Management services.
